Stock Market Game Blog

This semester, you will be playing the Stock Market Game and managing a $100,000 investment portfolio with your partner. Each week, you will reflect on how your portfolio performed and provide your thoughts in a blog post that your teacher, classmates, and others will be able to read and respond to.

This will give you a chance to offer and ask for advice and/or warnings about certain investments, provide your reactions to market activity and news that has occurred over the week, and indicate your hopes and predictions regarding where the markets (and your specific investments in the SMG) are heading.

Total Cash Balance: $551.25
Total Equity: $99,180.25
Buying Power: $50,141.38
Ranking: 50 out of 65
REGN, $433.29 $/share, $472.63 $/share, $1,573.60
DST, $107.14 $/share, $116.35 $/share, $920.92
MA, $89.65 $/share, $91.20 $/share, $232.10
We feel that our portfolio is recovering from the recent downfall we had experienced a couple of
weeks ago. REGN is performing the best right now for us because they are experimenting with
many new drugs that can become beneficial to a lot of people. ACT is our biggest loser currently
and is waiting for a FDA approval of a new obesity drug. With the approval of a drug like
that, it could directly affect our losses immediately.
Our yearly target estimates are still pretty high for all of our stocks. The analysts are predicting for our
stocks to bounce back up. We agree with the analysts because we are hoping for our portfolio
to rebound from the recent drop.

  1. REGN is also doing well for us and hopefully it will continue to rise. Hopefully you will see a bounce back for ACT.

  3. Not much you can do with 500 someone dollars but you could sell your stocks as soon as they go up you can improve your money and ranking.
