Stock Market Game Blog

This semester, you will be playing the Stock Market Game and managing a $100,000 investment portfolio with your partner. Each week, you will reflect on how your portfolio performed and provide your thoughts in a blog post that your teacher, classmates, and others will be able to read and respond to.

This will give you a chance to offer and ask for advice and/or warnings about certain investments, provide your reactions to market activity and news that has occurred over the week, and indicate your hopes and predictions regarding where the markets (and your specific investments in the SMG) are heading.

We are feeling pretty good about our portfolio right now. Regeneron and DST Systems are doing really well right now. They are probably doing well because of the new products that they are coming out with. Actavis is still doing really poorly.

Right now we would really like to see Actavis go up. It is our worst stock and is losing us almost $1,500. It is suppose to go up around $40 more from where it is now this year. We just hope it goes up before the Stock Market Game is over. Chipotle has started going up though and is almost positive. We would like to see it continue to go up and see the same thing happen to our other stocks that aren't doing that well.

  1. Glad your REGN stock is doing well. Hopefully our investment in this stock will reflect yours and eventually make us money. The amount of money you guys are gaining on it, we are losing. Hopefully when we check our stocks again this stock will be up. Even though you guys are losing a lot on Activis you should hold on to it. Sounds like something that may have a lot of potential.
