Stock Market Game Blog

This semester, you will be playing the Stock Market Game and managing a $100,000 investment portfolio with your partner. Each week, you will reflect on how your portfolio performed and provide your thoughts in a blog post that your teacher, classmates, and others will be able to read and respond to.

This will give you a chance to offer and ask for advice and/or warnings about certain investments, provide your reactions to market activity and news that has occurred over the week, and indicate your hopes and predictions regarding where the markets (and your specific investments in the SMG) are heading.

Regeneron is our biggest gainer because of the new drugs they are outputting to the country that deals with a common problem of cholesterol. Their drug gives a major advantage into lowering chances of heart disease. Chipotle is our biggest loser only because the company refuses to upgrade to the latest tech because of their morals and values of their company.

Our portfolio would be helped enormously once all of our stocks bounce back from the Dow Jones Industrial Average fall recently. The analysts are predicting an even greater increase in the major stocks like the collection in the DJIA. I agree with the opinions from the analysts because news about the companies that I have been reading about are very similar.

  1. I can see you have done a lot of research on your companies before you invested in them. Congratulations on being 9 out of 56 and your equity is up so that must mean your making money. Are you planning on selling any of your stock?
